The BioStart and teQstart investments funds invest in very early stage, high risk, knowledge-intensive companies as part of its role in assisting the growth and development of high-technology industry sectors in Queensland.

The $3.0 million BioStart fund focusses on the biotechnology sector only while the $3.2 teQstart fund assists companies in other high-technology areas.

Amounts of $250,000 are available from both funds for investment into Queensland based, knowledge-intensive, high technology and biotechnology companies, to foster the attraction of further capital investment and to drive longer term commercial success.

teQstart Pty Ltd invests the funds on a co-investment basis, with expert private and venture capital equity funds. teQstart and BioStart funds are targeted at early stage high-technology companies looking to further commercialise their intellectual property (IP) from the proof-of-concept phase.
